Crew Active is built as a processor for use under the GDPR: your customer, employee and time data is stored on servers in the EU, transmission is TLS encrypted, and a data processing agreement (DPA) is included.

Your master, job and time data is stored on servers in an EU data centre. A few add-on features use external providers: email via Brevo inside the EU, map views via Google, push notifications via Expo and, where enabled, AI reports via Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, these last ones outside the EU. Only the data each feature needs is transmitted, in every case under a data processing agreement.

Every clock event is stored with its timestamp; where GPS is enabled, the location is added at the start, at every break and at the stop. The GPS proof shows the measured accuracy and, where a site address is on file, the distance to it; on Android devices it also flags when a mock-location provider was active. Your employees cannot change recorded times themselves: corrections are made by the office only, and every correction is logged with the editor, the time, and the before and after values. Without a data connection, time tracking keeps running and syncs later. The GPS point is missing in that case.
